Hey babe! I'm Cathy — the founder of Katha Bella.

I'm from Canada, born and raised and have loved having my nails done since I was little.To be honest, I got tired of waiting hours and spending hundreds of dollars at the salon, just for the tech to completely mess up my cuticles and have them get damaged (yes it happened to me and it wasn’t fun). One day I said enough is enough and looked up where I could find my own nail care supplies online and I started filling up the cart. When I checked my cart I had stacked up a bill of $300!!! On top of that I had to learn how to use all this stuff!!! That’s when I thought of how many other people must be struggling with the same problem. 

My mom always taught me the value in helping others and I cherish that to this day. That’s when I had the genius idea of starting my own online nail store. So I opened up my dusty old laptop and got to researching and that’s when the inspiration hit me. 

A one-stop shop for all your nail-care needs for a fraction of the time and the price. That’s when Katha Bella was born. 

The reason I picked the name is because of the inspiration I gained from Hindu mythology where they have cool and fun little short stories called “Kathas”. I just don’t want your nails to be a fashion statement, your nails should tell your own story and be an extension of yourself (no pun intended). Bella means “beautiful” in Italian/Spanish because simply put that’s how I want you to feel about yourself, the same way I feel with some fresh tips.

Here at Katha Bella we curate a hand-picked selection of high-quality nail essentials and fun extras. Everything here is chosen for one reason: it looks good, works beautifully, and makes doing your nails at home feel just as special as the salon — minus the hassle. Unfortunately we only sell in Canada at the moment, but one day we hope to able to fulfill orders all across the world!
